2017 Classes
The Art of Healing - Meshoppen, PA February 10th, 11th, and 12th
What is Healing? In traditional cultures healing is the process of becoming whole, oneself, or bringing back a sense of identity/belonging in one’s culture. Disease, pain, and discomfort are all viewed as being cut off from one’s true self. Viewing health, wellness, and beauty this way allows transformation of pain. Where our pain lies is truly where the heart (and art) of healing reside. Modern medicine has missed this crucial piece in the puzzle while focusing primarily on science and technology. Yes, medicine is a science, but healing is an art. How many times have we heard, “Medicine isn’t an exact science.” We’ll learn how beautiful and magical healing really is. What will I learn? How to use plant medicine and herbs for health and wellness. Guided imagery concepts from mind-body medicine and how they help reduce chronic pain, stress, and discomfort. We'll make foods, medicine, and work directly with nature discovering what we need in our own healing journey! |
