All That Glitters.....
Ladies, have you winterized your skin and makeup bags for the upcoming winter season?
This is the time for celebration with family and friends and looking radiant morning through night is essential. The winter season is the driest time of the year, and it’s important to take precautions to safeguard your skin against its harshest elements. Let’s start with your winter coat, so to speak. Your moisturizer is essential day and night for healthy, radiant looking skin. For day, make sure SPF is part of the game plan:

Winter Beauty Styles
Let your eyes take center stage this season. Festive shades of gold and silver are very chic this time of year. Light up your eyes with M.A.C Pigments. They are loaded with super-rich, long lasting color. Some of my favorite Pigment shades to use during the winter are: SILVER, WHITE GOLD, KITSCHMAS, OLD GOLD and COPPER SPARKLE. Apply any of these shades as an all over wash of color from your lashes up to your brows using M.A.C Blending Brush #224. Lashes should be lavishly coated for a strong, wide-eyed effect. I love ALL BLACK Fibre Rich Lash Mascara. Add winged tipped eyeliner for a doe-eye effect to the outer corners of your eyes with MAC Fluidline in BLACKTRACK with brush #209.

Keep lips glossy and supple this season. Did you know that aside from eye shadow, what you put on your lips can really contrast with your eye colour (popping your eyes even more)?
For fair to medium skin tones, look at either: VIVA GLAM V, GIDDY, SWEETIE or LUSTERING and GIRL ABOUT TOWN Lipsticks. For medium to darker skin tones, look at BERRY BOOST, DESIRE, SPICE IT UP, FLUID, MEDIA and POLISHED UP Lustre Lipsticks – all by MAC of course! |
Cheeks should have a flush of color this season, almost as if you have just stepped out of the cold. I love this with MAC BREEZY or DOLLYMIX Sheertone Shimmer Blushes.
Use their #129 Powder/Blush brush for an air-brushed blend. Cream blush makes drier skin dewy and healthy looking, Stila’s Convertible Colour gets my top pick for creamy blush. Try either: FUCHSIA, ORCHID, PETUNIA or FORGET ME NOT. |
